Regional Consultants

In order to offer our clients the best possible service it is important for IBEC Retail Skillnet to have  representatives in all regions throughout the country.

Region 1 (County Donegal and Sligo) is covered by staff in Head Office in Letterkenny.

However, IBEC Retail Skillnet has 3 regional consultants who operate in the Dublin (Region 2), Cork (Region 3) and Midlands (Region 4) areas of the country. These regional consultants are on hand to offer support, training and information to our clients in each of these regions. 

Region 2 (Dublin Region)

Caroline Heagney is IBEC Retail Skillnet’s Regional consultant in the Dublin Region. Caroline has a wealth of experience in the Retail Sector working in the area of Human Resource Management with two of the country’s most recognisable indigenous retailers - Dunnes Stores and SuperValu.

Caroline has seen first hand the benefits which Retail Occupational Qualifications have for both employees and employers alike, and as such has an in depth knowledge of the Retail Occupational Qualifications programme.

Caroline is a highly qualified professional with a degree in Human Resource Management and a Post graduate Masters degree in Business Administration, from University of Ulster.

Region 3 (Cork Region)

Donny Flynn is IBEC Retail Skillnet’s Regional consultant in the Cork Region. Donny has worked for some of the country’s most successful retailers at the highest level. He has been the XtraVision Regional Manager in Cork for the last 10 years. Donny had also worked in Philadelphia, for a large convenience chain, WaWa Inc. at various levels  within store operations prior to his appointment with XtraVision.

Donny’s experience in retail has ensured that he is acutely aware of the beneficial aspects of vocational training.

Donny is a highly qualified professional with a degree in Business and Commerce from University College Cork, and a Post graduate Masters degree in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, U.S.A.

Region 4 (Midlands Region)

Maureen Lavin is IBEC Retail Skillnet’s Regional consultant in the Midlands Region. Maureen has worked at the managerial level in SuperValu.  

Maureen has seen first hand the benefits which Retail Occupational Qualifications have for both employees and employers alike, and as such has an in depth knowledge of the Retail Occupational Qualifications programme. Maureen was one of the first managers to implement the Retail Occupational Qualifications programme in-store.

Maureen is a highly qualified and experienced professional who has also led the way with Retail Occupational Qualifications being the first assessor in the country to have Certificates awarded to her Polish employees.
